Light-Duty Truck Coolant System Repair
I work on light-duty trucks of all kinds. F series pickups, small box trucks, and other light-duty trucks are all fair game. Some of our common coolant system services include fan clutch repair, coolant flushes, water pump replacements, and coolant leak patching.
Symptoms of a Malfunctioning Coolant System
The most common symptom of a malfunctioning coolant system is by far an overheating engine. If your engine overheats, there’s almost certainly something wrong with your coolant system. The most common problems include a malfunctioning fan clutch, a plugged radiator, and leaking coolant. If your fan clutch malfunctions, it may not engage properly, hence the overheating engine. As for a plugged radiator, old coolant is usually to blame, for when it breaks down it may leave debris behind. Leaking coolant is an entirely different issue, for even if all your components are working you won’t be able to disperse enough heat. Regardless of which issue you have, you can count on Patriot Diesel and Automotive to provide you with the repair services you require.
Medium and Heavy-Duty Truck Coolant System Repair
Do you drive a box truck or a large semi? Do you need to get your medium or heavy-duty coolant system repaired? If so, you’ve come to the right place. Patriot Diesel and Automotive offers fantastic coolant system services for medium and heavy-duty trucks of all kinds. Whether you need a new fan clutch, a coolant flush, or basic preventive maintenance.
Symptoms of a Malfunctioning Coolant System
Similar to that of a light-duty coolant system, heavy-duty coolant systems are also prone to fan clutch issues. For those unaware, fan clutches are designed to engage and disengage your cooling fan depending on the temperature of your engine. If this clutch fails, your cooling fan may not engage and your engine will overheat. Leaving an engine running for a prolonged period of time while it’s overheating is a surefire way to damage. Be sure to give us a call if your engine starts to overheat. The quicker you get it to the shop the easier and less expensive it will be to fix.
